Alayna Wade - JH Volleyball (8th Grade) Alayna Wade has the toughest position on our 8th grade volleyball team as she runs around the entire court chasing passes and setting hitters up to produce kills, which hopefully result in points. We began the season with two setters in our rotation, but when the other setter was out for weeks due to illness, all of the setting duties became Alayna's. She transitioned very smoothly and has worked very hard to help create scoring plays for us. She has also been our team's first server every single game. She is solid and focused behind the serving line, maintaining an above 90% serving rate the entire season. Alayna's vocal leadership on the court has been vital to our success. Her great character and sportsmanship are visible at every match. She always encourages her teammates in such a positive way whether in practice or during games. Alayna has been a joy to coach this year and her efforts have been much appreciated! - Coach Lori Koester
